Product Description
BIODIESELMACH., offers new generation equipment for producing biodiesel- biodiesel manufacturing plants which utilize hydrodynamic compounder technology. Biodiesel is methyl (ethyl) ester, derived from vegetable oils in process of esterification: methanol (ethanol) is added to vegetable oil in ratio 1:9 and processed together with small amount of base or acidic catalyst in reactor (hydrodynamic mixer and compounding pump in our technology). See the drawing below for system operation diagram.
Continuous biodiesel production system, 4 (12,5) cubic meters per hour
The technologic process of our system is as follows. Vegetable oil from the vessel 1 via mesh filter F1, flow heater PPМ is fed to the hydrodynamic mixer СGD with H1 pump.
Oil flow is controlled with the flowmeter P1. A pre-mixed solution of the catalyzer in methanol is fed from vessel 3 to the vacuum chamber of the hydrodynamic mixer through the BP regulator valve and the flowmeter P2. The solution mixing is performed by the H2 pump. The solution is taken from vessels 3 in turn. The first stage of the peretherification reaction is performed in the hydrodynamic mixer.
The final stage of the reaction is performed in the compounder pump HK. Intensive cavitation processes in the hydrodynamic mixer and the compounder pump lead to breakdown of fatty acid molecules, which significantly increases reaction speed and improves quality of the fuel.
After the compounder pump, the mixture goes to the settling columns 4, where it separates into biodiesel and water-glycerin mixture. The fuel is discharged via FВО moisture separator filter by the pump H3.
The system may optionally be fitted with control systems which allow either manual or fully automated operation. The latter is more expensive, but excludes probability of human error which could lower the quality of the product. The system must be placed in a heated place, except vessels 1 and 2

Continuous-Flow HydroDynamic plants are available in various sizes from 4 cubic meter/hour to 12.5 cubic meter/hour (30 MMgy) capacity (larger systems under development). Entire machine installed in a 20 ft container, ready to transport and operate, consumes any feedstock (vegetable oils, yellow grease, fats, etc.) and is upgradeable because of modular structure.
Start up costs are lower than those of any system available on the market, because our systems are real turnkey solution and do not need additional equipment like acid esterification or methanol recovery units.
NO METHANOL RECOVERY IS NEEDED.
The stoichiometric quantity of methanol is the amount needed to convert triglycerides (fats and oils) into esters (biodiesel) -- the "methyl" portion of methyl esters. In conventional processes you also need an excess of methanol to push the conversion process towards completion -- without the excess the process runs out (reaches equilibrium) before all the triglycerides are converted to esters, resulting in poor fuel that doesn't combust well and can be corrosive.
The excess methanol acts more like a catalyst: it encourages the process but does not become a part of the final product and can be recovered afterwards. This is very costly process and requires additional expensive equipment, It is also makes it difficult to obtain EPA and AQMD permits.
In HD's process you will use only methanol that is needed after
PH is established during titration process.
No excess of methanol is needed, no recovery of methanol is required.
The entire methanol is dissolved in HD's 2 stage compounder process on the molecular basis and produces high quality Biodiesel.
